Across India, millions experience anxiety, financial loss, or social pressure from unscientific superstitions. People delay critical travel, skip medical prescriptions during eclipses, or fall victim to gemstone scams. Fear persists because individuals lack a community space for rational, objective facts.
The Solution: VAHAM App
VAHAM is a peer-support social network where anyone can post a superstitious doubt (anonymously or named). The community votes on whether it is a myth, folklore origin, or scam, providing scientific logic and reassuring peer guidance.
Peer Reassurance
Collective confirmation from peers that breaking an irrational taboo causes zero harm.
Folklore Origins
Historical context explaining why ancient habits started (e.g. sweeping before electric lights), separating harmless folklore from harmful superstition.
